The opening round of games in the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup gets proceedings underway for 2025.
There is also one game in the Women’s All-Ireland League, and an assortment of games in domestic Men’s and Women’s Cup competitions.
In the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup, Bruff welcome Killorglin to Kilballyowen Park. The winners will be rewarded with home advantage against Dungarvan or Midleton, who meet at the West Waterford venue.
Castleisland go head to head with Carrick-on-Suir in the Kingdom. The winners will have home advantage against Ennis in Round 2.
Clonmel, whose only triumph was in 2014, entertain Douglas at the South Tipperary venue, with the winners hosting St Senans in the next round.
Dolphin, who last won the trophy in 1944, lock horns with Ardscoil Old Boys at Virgin Media Park, with a home tie against Charleville awaiting the winners.
Killarney entertain Waterford City at the Kerry venue and the winners will be at home to 2006 winners Cobh Pirates.
Waterpark, whose last triumph was in 1974, make the long trip to East Clare to take on Scariff, with home advantage against Old Crescent awaiting the winners.
Youghal host Fermoy at the East Cork venue and the winners will be away to Ballincollig.
In the Women’s AIL, Ballincollig go head the head with Cooke at Tanner Park on Saturday, with both sides going into the tie on the back of heavy defeats. Ballincollig lost 91-0 V Old Belvedere in Dublin, while the Belfast side were defeated 64-0 by Wicklow in the Garden County.
The semi-finals of the Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup and Shield are both down for decision on Sunday.
Bandon go head to head with Richmond at Old Chapel. Thomond or Kilfeacle, who meet at Liam Fitzgerald Park, await the winners in the decider.
Clanwilliam make the relatively short trip to Smith’s Road to take on Charleville in their Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Shield semi-final. The winners will face St Senan’s or Old Christians in the final.
The Munster Women’s Division Cup decider takes place between Tralee and Ennis-Kilrush at 4GUL.
In the first semi-final of the Munster Women’s’ Division 2 Cup, Midleton go head to head with Bruff at Towns Park.
Thurles and Clonakilty lock horns in the Premier County in a replay of their quarter final, as they played out a 22-22 draw at the West Cork venue before Christmas. The winners will be away to UL Bohemian in the second semi-final.
