Weekend Preview | Charity Cup Reaches Final Stages In Cork & Limerick

The finals of the Cork Charity Cup and Cork Charity Shield are down for decision this weekend.
The Sporting Limerick Charity Cup and Transfield Cup both continue in North Munster.
On Friday evening Cork Charity Cup holders Cork Constitution will be looking to win the trophy for the fourth successive year as they take on UCC at Irish Independent Park. The Students have not won the trophy since 1982.
Cork Charity Shield holders Cashel, who won the inaugural decider against Sunday’s Well last year, will be looking to retain the trophy as they take on Midleton at Irish Independent Park on Saturday evening.
Only one of the semi-finals of the Sporting Limerick Charity Cup is going ahead this Saturday.
Holders Nenagh Ormond game against Young Munster at Tom Clifford Park has been postponed.
The other semi-final sees Bruff entertaining Garryowen at Kilballyowen Park.
There are three Transfield Cup ties down for decision on Saturday.
Holders Newcastle West begin their defence of the trophy against Young Munster at Tom Clifford Park. The winners will be rewarded with a home tie against St Mary’s in the quarter finals.
Bruff welcome Richmond to Kilballyowen Park for their quarter final tie. The winners will be away to Newcastle West, Young Munster or St Mary’s in the semi-finals.
The other quarter final sees St Senan’s taking on Old Crescent in the Banner County. The winners will have home advantage in the semi-finals against Abbeyfeale.
