On Friday evening in Division 2A of the All Ireland League, Old Crescent entertain Cashel at Rosbrien, with both sides going in to the tie on the back of opening day victories over Queen’s University and Dolphin respectively.
Shannon, who won the Division 1B title last season, mark their return to the top flight after a considerable absence with an away tie against last season’s runners-up and former champions Cork Constitution.
UCC, who were promoted via the play-offs, mark their debut in the top flight with a match against UCD at Belfield.
Garryowen and Young Munster begin their campaigns at home to Dublin opposition.
The Sky Blues, who were defeated by champions Lansdowne in last season’s semi-finals, welcome Dublin University to Dooradoyle.
Young Munster are at home to Terenure College, who also reached last season’s semi-finals.
On Saturday in Division 2A, relegated Dolphin will have their work cut out following their opening day defeat by Cashel as they host Navan at Irish Independent Park, with the County Meath side coming off the back of a maximum point home win over Nenagh Ormond.
UL Bohemian travel to Galway to take on Galwegians at Crowley Park, with both sides seeking their first points.
Highfield, who recorded a maximum point away win over UL Bohemian, entertain Queen’s University, who claimed a losing bonus point from their opener against Old Crescent.
Nenagh Ormond face a tough assignment as they welcome Blackrock College, who recorded a maximum point home win over Galwegians, to North Tipperary.
In Division 2B, Sunday’s Well make the long trip to Deramore Park to take on Belfast Harlequins, with both sides having recorded opening day victories.
Thomond travel to County Down to take on Bangor at Upritchard Park in Davison 2C and Midleton are also on the road as they travel to Killiney to take on Seapoint.
Bruff will be looking to make the most of home advantage count in a bid to claim their first points as they welcome City of Derry to Kilballyowen Park.

Skibbereen, who recorded a maximum point home win against Galbally in their opener, travel to Limerick to take on St Mary’s at Grove Island and Kanturk are at home to promoted Crosshaven in a Rebel County derby.
The game of the day in Division 2 sees Mallow and Muskerry going head to head at St Joseph’s Road. Mallow recorded maximum point away win over Fethard in their opener, while Muskerry ran out 20-7 home winners over Youghal.
Cobh Pirates will be expected to make it two wins out of two in their bid to return to the top flight as they welcome Charleville to the Paddocks.
Fellow Cork sides Kinsale and Old Christians are both looking to maintain their unbeaten starts to the season as Kinsale host Fethard and Old Christians entertain Waterford City at Rathcooney.
Elsewhere, Ballincollig are at home to Thurles and Youghal host Fermoy, with all four sides seeking their first points.
In Division 3, Ennis begin their campaign with a home tie against Chorca Dhuibhne, who recorded a comprehensive victory over Dunmanway.
Tralee will be looking to make it two wins from two as they welcome Douglas-Carrigaline to the Kingdom.
Killorglin, who claimed a losing bonus point from their opening day defeat by Dungarvan, make the long trip to East Clare to take on Scariff.
Mitchelstown and Bantry Bay who both recorded opening day victories go head to head at the North Cork venue.
Dunmanway take on Kerry opposition for the second successive week as they entertain Killarney, with the Kerry side looking to get a result after claiming a losing bonus point from their opener against Tralee.
