The Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup continues this Sunday, together with the opening series of games in the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Plate and the semi-finals of the Munster Junior Bowl.
The Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup Holders Cork Constitution begin their defence of the trophy with a relatively short trip to South Cork to take on Kinsale. The winners will be rewarded with home advantage against Muskerry or Mallow, who lock horns at Ballyanly.
Two Limerick sides with a strong tradition in the competition, Thomond and Garryowen go head to head in a Limerick City derby tie at Liam Fitzgerald Park. The winners will be at home Kilfeacle or 2017 winners Bandon, who go head to head in West Tipperary.
Last year’s finalists Richmond take on near neighbours St Mary’s at Grove Island with Cashel or UL Bohemian awaiting the winners.
Clonmel, who won the trophy for the first time in their 127-year history in 2014, are away to Galbally. The winners will be at home to Ballincollig or 2014 finalists Clanwilliam, who meet at Tanner Park.
Young Munster, who were defeated by Bandon in the final two years ago, are at home to St Senan’s’, with the winners meeting Skibbereen or Crosshaven.
Abbeyfeale make the relatively short trip to Castleisland, with Newcastle West or Kanturk awaiting the winners.
Shannon travel to Rathcooney to take on Old Christians and the winners will be away to Dolphin or Highfield, who meet at Irish Independent Park.
Sunday’s Well entertain UCC at Irish Independent Park and the winners will be at home to Waterpark or Clonakilty, who go head to head at Ballinakill.
There are two first round ties and two quarter finals down for decision in the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Plate.
Midleton take on Fethard in the opening round at Towns Park and the winners will be rewarded with a trip to North Tipperary to take on Nenagh Ormond.
Fermoy welcome Killarney, who won the trophy in 2011 and 2013 to the Showgrounds. The winners will have home advantage against Old Crescent in the quarter finals.
Tralee welcome Charleville to the Kingdom in the quarter finals and the winners will have a home semi-final against Waterford City or Bruff, who meet on Suirside.
In the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Bowl, Killorglin will be looking to qualify for their second decider of this season as they travel to the Banner County to take on Ennis in the semi-final. The Mid Kerry side are already through to the Martin O’Sullivan Cup final where they will meet near neighbours Killarney.
Dunmanway are at home to Douglas-Carrigaline in the other semi-final.
