Action continues across early season competitions while the first silverware of the season will be presented.

On Thursday evening, Cork Charity Shield holders Midleton, who were also the inaugural winners, lock horns with Sunday’s Well in the decider at Towns Park, kick-off 7.30pm.

In the Sporting Limerick Charity Cup, holders Young Munster travel to Tipperary on Thursday, kick off 8pm, to take on Nenagh Ormond, who won the trophy two years ago in the first semi-final.

Old Crescent and Bruff go head-to-head in the second semi-final at Rosbrien on Saturday.

St Senan’s and Old Crescent get proceedings underway in the Transfield Cup at Jimmy Slattery Park on Thursday evening. The winners will be away to Thomond or Bruff, who meet at Liam Fitzgerald Park next Tuesday.

Holders Abbeyfeale begin their defence of the trophy as they welcome Garryowen to Limerick on Saturday. The winners will be rewarded with home advantage in the quarter-finals against Young Munster or UL Bohemian, who meet at Tom Clifford Park on Saturday.

Fethard host Kilfeacle in the opening round of the Garryowen Cup and the winners will be at home to Cashel in the quarter-finals.
