The quarter-finals of the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup are down for decision this weekend and there is also Junior action in various competitions across the province.
In the Bank of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup, Shannon lock horns with Young Munster at Thomond Park on Friday evening. The winners will be at home to UL Bohemian or Cashel, who meet at the 4G pitch in UL also on Friday night, in the quarter-finals.
On Leeside, holders Cork Constitution begin their defence of the trophy against Garryowen in a repeat pairing of last season’s decider on Saturday. The winners will have home advantage in the semi-finals against UCC or Highfield who meet at the Mardyke.
There is a West Cork derby in the semi-finals of the County Cup as Bandon and Skibbereen go head to head at Old Chapel in the first semi-final on Friday evening.
Mallow entertain Clonakilty in the second semi-final in Mallow on Sunday.
The semi-finals of the O’Neill Cup take place on Sunday.
Ballincollig welcome Charleville to Tanner Park and Muskerry entertain Cobh Pirates at Ballyanly.
Abbeyfeale continue their defence of the Transfield Cup with a home semi-final tie against Richmond. Newcastle West, who won the trophy two years ago, await the winners in the decider.
Thurles are at home to Premier County neighbours Clanwilliam in the second semi-final of the Garryowen Cup. The winners will meet Waterpark in the decider.
In Kerry, Tralee are at home to Killarney in the McElligott Cup decider and Tralee’s second string head west to take on Chorca Dhuibhne in the semi-final of the McGillycuddy Cup at Ballydavid with Killarney awaiting the winners.
At Junior 2 level, Midleton welcome Cork Constitution for the second semi-final of the Dennehy Cup, with the winners meeting Highfield in the decider at Woodleigh Park.
Clonakilty and Sunday’s Well lock horns in the Muskerry Cup decider at Ballyanly.
The McInerney Cup final on Saturday sees Ardscoil Old Boys taking on Presentation at the Canal Bank.
