Over a relatively quiet October Bank Holiday weekend, a handful of games are down for decision in the Women’s All Ireland League and the Munster Junior League, together with the opening series of games in the All Ireland Junior Cup.
Women’s All Ireland League leaders UL Bohemian travel to Galway to take on Galwegians at Crowley Park on Saturday. The Limerick side have recorded two maximum-point wins, while Galwegians claimed a losing bonus point against Suttonians last time out.
On Saturday, four Munster sides begin their All Ireland Junior Cup campaign, with all but one meeting Ulster opposition.
Newcastle West travel to County Down to take on Dromore and Crosshaven are in action against former AIL side Instonians in Belfast.
Richmond entertain Grosvenor from Belfast and Kilfeacle are at home to Wicklow.
There are two rescheduled games in the Munster Junior League.
St Senan’s entertain Galbally in a basement clash in Division One at Jimmy Slattery Park with both sides on single losing bonus points which were claimed form opening day defeats by Skibbereen and Abbeyfeale respectively.
In Division three, third-placed Killorglin welcome second-placed Waterford City to the Kingdom, with both sides going into the tie unbeaten. Killorglin won their two games to date against Scariff and Mitchelstown, while the Suirsiders go into the tie on the back of maximum-point victories over Bantry Bay and Douglas-Carrigaline.
