The Munster Junior League continues with a handful of games across all Three Divisions. There are also three games in both the Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup and Junior Clubs’ Challenge Shield.

In Division 1 of the Munster Junior League early pace setters St Mary’s will be looking to make the most of home advantage count as they aim to collect maximum points against Tralee at Grove Island and overtake Newcastle West in second place.

Muskerry, who are hovering above the drop zone, will be looking to take another step closer to safety as they entertain Old Christians in a Cork derby at Ellis Park.

Newport, who are rooted to foot of Division 2 are at home to Clanwilliam in a Tipperary derby and fellow strugglers Killorglin make the long trip to Suirside to take on Waterford City at Kilbarry.

Ballincollig should have little difficulty in seeing off struggling Scariff at Tanner Park as the Mid Cork side aim to keep their promotion challenge from Division 3 intact.

Bottom side Kilrush, who are still without a win face a tricky task as they welcome Carrick-on-Suir to West Clare and North Cork neighbours Charleville and Fermoy go head to head in a mid-table clash at Smith’s Road.

There are three first round ties down for decision in the Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup.
Mallow had to concede home advantage to Cobh Pirates as this tie was postponed twice due to the recent bad weather. The Pirates side should make it two wins out of two as they already defeated the North Cork side 19-5 at St Joseph’s Road in the Junior League a month ago. The winners will be away to Muskerry in the next round.

Clonmel are at home to Kilfeacle in a Premier County derby, with the winners at home to Cup holders and League leaders Kanturk in the quarter finals. The South Tipperary side recorded a 19-7 away win over Kilfeacle in the League in October.

Clonakilty travel to West Limerick to take on Newcastle West, with the winners away to St Mary’s in the quarter finals. These sides played out a 25-25 draw at the Vale in December.

There are three quarter finals down for decision in the Junior Clubs’ Challenge Shield. Bandon take on Killarney at Old Chapel and the West Cork will be looking to make it two wins out of two as they already defeated Killarney 38-3 in the League at the same venue in November. The winners will have a home semi final tie against Crosshaven or Clanwilliam.

Ennis entertain Castleisland at the Clare venue and the home side will be looking to avenge last October’s 16-9 League defeat by ‘Island at the Kingdom venue. The winners will be at home to Division 2 leaders St Senan’s or Thurles in the semi finals. These sides meet at Jimmy Slattery Park and St Senan’s put up 36 points without reply when these sides met at the same venue in the League in October.
