Weekend Results & Round Up
17th March 2019 By Leonard Allen
Clonmel regained the Munster Junior League title with a 17-7 home win over defending champions Bandon.
This win sees them finish three points clear of Newcastle West and it is their fourth title in five years.
They dominated the opening half and tries from Dylan Cadogan and Eddie Phelan both converted by Darren Cass gave them a 14-0 half-time lead.
Midway through the second-half Enda Phelan scored a try for Bandon and Ben Ridgeway converted but Cass steadied Clonmel’s nerves with a penalty minutes later as they ran out deserving winners.
