On Thursday evening, the home of soccer in Limerick, the Markets Field hosts its first rugby match in 58 years as Young Munster take on a Munster President’s XV in the Sporting Limerick Rugby Charity Night.

The semi-finals of the Cork Charity Cup, take place on Saturday. Holders Cork Constitution are at home to Cashel and Dolphin take on Highfield at Irish Independent Park.

It is a busy weekend on the junior front with several ties in round two of the Bank of Ireland Junior Cup being played.

Sunday’s Well and Youghal get proceedings underway at Irish Independent Park on Saturday afternoon. The winners will be rewarded with a home tie against Midleton or Castleisland, who go head to head at Towns Park on Sunday.

Old Crescent host Charleville under lights on Saturday evening and the winners will be at home to Clanwilliam in Round 4.

The pick of Sunday’s games is the meeting of Mitchelstown and Presentation at the North Cork venue, which marks the home side’s debut in this competition. The winners will be at home to Fermoy and Waterpark, who lock horns at the Showgrounds.

Douglas-Carrigaline who defeated Fethard last week travel to Thomond where a trip to Shannon awaits the winners.

Thurles who booked their place in the Junior Shield final last week open their campaign away to Waterford City and the prize for the winners is a trip to holders Young Munster.

Cashel and Kinsale clash at the Tipperary venue and Kinsale could cause an upset if they hit form.

St. Mary’s travel to Nenagh Ormond with a trip to Galbally in Round 4 for the winners.

Highfield entertain Bruff with a home tie against St. Senan’s awaiting the winners.

Kanturk will hope to follow up last week’s win in Dungarvan with a home win over Tralee.

Crosshaven and Ballincollig renew rivalry again with the Seasiders expected to advance to a home meeting with Clonakilty.

The semi-finals of the Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup are down for decisions, with two West Cork side each enjoying home advantage.

Bandon welcome Newcastle West to Old Chapel and Skibbereen go head to head with Kilfeacle at the Carbery Showgrounds.

There is a Kingdom derby in the Martin O’Sullivan Cup, which sees near neighbours Killorglin and Killarney locking horns at the Mid Kerry venue with the winners facing Fethard in the final.
