Cork Constitution will face UCD in the final of Bateman Cup as Kanturk and St Senan’s extend their lead in Division 1 and 2 of Munster Junior League.

Cork Constitution were convincing 46-14 winners over Queens University in the semi final of the Ulster Bank All Ireland Bateman Cup.
Darragh Lyons had the home side 7-0 ahead after a minute with a try and a conversion.
Chris Quinn added a penalty minutes later and tries by Eoin O’Donnell, Gavin Duffy and Andrew O’Driscoll and two conversions by Lyons left it 29-0 at half time.
Con extended their advantage with tries from Michael Keyes, Eoin O’Donnell and Max Abbott and a Lyons Conversion to lead 46-0.
Queens replied with late tries from Andy Butler and Eoin Devlin both of which Richard McMaster converted.

Kanturk took another major step towards their first Munster Junior League title with victory over one of their major challengers Newcastle West as a result of their 17-6 home win. All the scores came in the opening half with Kealan Buckley, Paul Cotter and Mark Healy scoring tries for the Duhallow side and Stephen McAuliffe adding a conversion. Sean Herlihy kicked two penalties for the visitors.

Clonmel have moved up to third place after their 25-10 win over bottom side Mallow. A try from Ronan McCarthy and a conversion and a penalty by Luke O’Brien gave Mallow a 10-8 half time lead. Mick Barry scored a try for Clonmel and Brian Lonergan a penalty. A try and a conversion by Conor Cooney put the home side in front and two tries from Frankie Quinlan secured the bonus point victory for Clonmel.

Muskerry eased their relegation worries with a 15-0 win over Galbally. The home side led 3-0 at the interval with a penalty from Darragh Masterson. A try from Ian O’Sullivan and a penalty try, converted by Masterson saw the Mid Cork side move up three places.

Clonakilty defeated Skibbereen 27-18 a result that sees Skibbereen slip into the relegation battle. Ethan Jennings, JD O’Mahony, Courtney Canning and Peter Shallow were Clonakilty’s try scorers. Joe Lee kicked a penalty and a conversion and Ciaran Calnan a conversion. Cillian Keegan and Kieran Shannon replied with tries for the visitors and Ger Hurley added a conversion and two penalties.

Waterpark now occupy the other relegation place after their 12-10 away defeat by Kilfeacle. Bernard O’Callaghan and Gavin Heuston scored tries for Kilfeacle and Heuston added a conversion. Conor Molloy replied with two tries for Waterpark.

Old Christians eased their relegation worries with a 21-19 away win over Tralee. Shane Barry and Dave Hickey scored tries for the Rathcooney side and Stuart Lee kicked three penalties and a conversion. Eoin O’Carroll and JJ O’Sullivan were try scorers for Tralee and Ciaran Crowley kicked three penalties but Crowley could have won it for the home side as he hit the upright twice in the final minutes with two penalty attempts.

St. Senan’s have extended their lead at the top of the Second Division after a 41-3 home win over Youghal. Stephen Ryan scored three tries for the winners and Michael Lynch, Fernando Gallant, Brian Collins and David Dunne got one each. Declan Rowe kicked three conversions. Keith McCarthy replied with a penalty for Youghal.

Thurles failed to move into second spot as they were held to an 11-11 draw by Bandon. Peter Coman scored a try for Thurles and Eoghan O’Dwyer kicked two penalties. Gearoid Crowley replied with a try for Bandon and Richard Walsh added two penalties.

Castleisland kept their challenge on track with a 26-10 home win over Presentation. Shane O’Connell, Gary Downey, Matthew Ahern and Connie Reynolds scored tries for the Kerry side and Reynolds added three conversions. Dave Tierney replied with a try for Pres’, Alan Airey kicked a conversion and Mark Phair a drop goal.

Ennis eased their relegation worries with an 18-10 home win over Crosshaven. Jason Considine, David Murphy and Joe Moloney scored tries for the Clare side and Murphy added a penalty. Darren O’Keeffe replied with a try for Crosshaven and Ian Smith kicked a conversion and a penalty.

Dungarvan have moved into top spot in Division Three after their 22-5 home win over Carrigaline. Michael Moore, Andrew Cleary and Eoin Cunningham scored tries for the winners and Conor Foley added a penalty and two conversions. Gary Murphy was Carrigaline’s try scorer.

Dunmanway-Bantry Bay recorded their first win of the campaign with a 21-5 home win over Kilrush. Pat Daly and Connie O’Sullivan scored tries for the winners and Padraig O’Donovan kicked three penalties and a conversion.
