What A Difference A Year Makes

Women’s rugby is most definitely on the rise at Abbeyfeale RFC.

There are now 100 girls/women registered with the club from U14 to Adult teams. The influx of players is mainly due to the commitment of John Moloney, Women’s Club Manager with the assistance of Mary Tehan and Hannah Broderick and their continued work with both the local schools and the club itself.

This hard work has resulted in five Abbeyfeale players; Bridget Cahill, Shauna Cahill, Rebecca Dineen, Emilly Hawkins and Maura Collins all being selected on Munster age grade sides at various levels.

To celebrate the year passed the club hosted a jersey presentation night in the club prior to Christmas where the players had the opportunity to thank their local sponsors and the club for its support.
