Young Munster Win Limerick Charity Cup

Young Munster powered their way to another Limerick Charity Cup title as their pack out played Old Crescent at Thomond Park.

In an evenly contested opening half Abrie Griesel put Munster’s into the lead with a penalty.

Evan Ryan scored a try which Griesel converted on the half hour mark to make it 10-0.

Crescent staged a comeback to be level 10-10 at half time with a try from Brendan Guilfoyle and a conversion and a penalty by Larry Hanly.

With wind advantage in the second half Munster’s mauled the ball over the line twice for tries and the other two tries came from back line moves.

Ger Slattery, Darren Ryan, Alan Ross and Cian Clohessy were the Munster try scorers.
