Tries from Jeremy Loughman and Conor Phillips helped Munster A to a 16-7 victory over Connacht Eagles at the Sportsground on Friday afternoon.
Jack Crowley and Jake Flannery kicked a penalty each and the game provided important time on the pitch for Munster A’s 23-man squad.
Munster played against the elements in the first half but led 3-0 at the interval thanks to a straightforward Crowley penalty.
Loughman scored the first try early in the second half but a converted Conor Fitzgerald try saw Connacht reduce the Munster lead to a point.
A Flannery penalty gave Munster A a bit of breathing room and Phillips clinched the win late on after Munster A intercepted a pass in midfield.
