Munster A scored five tries in completing back to back British and Irish Cup wins over Rotherham Titans in Ennis RFC this afternoon.
A Steve Crosbie penalty got Munster off the mark on 9 minutes before Caolan Ryan levelled affairs off the tee just five minutes later. That however would be Titans’ only score of the game as they ensured a long afternoon in Ennis at hands of the Munstermen.
Peter McCabe and Sam Arnold both crossed before the interval, Crosbie converting the latter, and Pete Malone’s charges led 15-3 at half time.
Academy back row Gavin Coombes continued Munster’s rout of the Englishmen with Munster’s third on 46 minutes and with just over a quarter to play Crosbie both scored and converted Munster’s bonus point try.
The icing on the cake came on 69 minutes when academy prop Rory Burke dotted down for Munster’s fifth and Crosbie’s final conversion of the day saw the men in red close out the game on a comprehensive 34-3 scoreline.
Munster A continue to top Pool 2 of the B&I Cup standings and resume their campaign away to Doncaster Knights on Saturday January 7th before bringing the return fixture to Bandon RFC on Friday January 13th at 7pm.
