Muirne started played with Listowel RFC at U15 level before going on to win three Munster titles with club at U18 level while she also played for Munster U18s for three consecutive years.

She then moved to Tralee RFC / Kerry Rugby to play adult rugby.

She moved to UL Bohemian RFC in 2021 and currently plays in the AIL.

Muirne earned herself starts in all rounds of last season’s campaign brining her total senior caps to 11 going into this years edition.
