Video | Introducing The Academy – Jonathan Wren
8th January 2019 By The Editor
Jonathan Wren is the latest Academy player under the spotlight in our series profiling the eight recruits that joined the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy last summer.
From Crosshaven in Cork, Wren started playing rugby at an early age with Crosshaven RFC. He represented Munster and Ireland at U18 and U19 level prior to joining the Academy and was a Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup winner with PBC in 2017.
The full-back is vying for a place in the Ireland U20 squad for the upcoming 6 Nations campaign and impressed in the December clashes between the Ireland U20s and a Leinster A/Development side and a Munster A/Development side.
The Cork man was a try-scoring replacement against Leinster in the first game and featured from the start against Munster.
See a full round-up of that action here.
